Asterix and the Great Rescue sends the indomitable Gaul and his friend Obelix on a side-scrolling adventure to rescue their druid Getafix and the village bard Cacofonix from Roman captivity. Travel through forests, Roman camps, and Egyptian pyramids, using Asterix's speed or Obelix's strength to defeat legions of Roman soldiers.
